Artistic and unusual landscapes can appear difficult and complex but are easily created by combining 2 techniques: bargello quilt-as-you-go and fusible appliqué. You will sew strip sets, cut segments and be amazed to see the landscape background take shape as you begin shifting the segments. Become enchanted at the ease with which you are able to create bargello pictorial landscapes using the quilt-as-you-go technique that keeps all the seams stabilized and enables you to successfully complete the quilt. Add the fusible appliqué and embellishments … presto, the quilt is transformed into a landscape! AND it’s finished! The basics of eight patterns taught in the class are the same but each has a different twist that makes it unique. You will choose one pattern, but the variations in each will be demonstrated and discussed so that after the workshop, you will be able to make any of the other designs on your own. It’s rare for instructors to teach more than one pattern in a class and you’ll find this experience quite rewarding.
