Learn what it takes to be a successful photographer by spending two days improving your photography skills and exploring Helena’s famous landmarks with outdoor & travel photographer, Jason Savage. The first day will be spent learning how to better operate your equipment, studying lighting & composition, and training your eye for better images. The day will conclude with an outdoor photo-shoot at one of Helena’s famous landmarks. The second day will be spent critiquing the previous days photographs and studying more composition & lighting techniques. Afterwards, the class will spend the day exploring Helena’s western architecture and gold rush past, capturing a piece of one of Montana’s historic cities. Class will run both days from 2-7pm. This workshop is designed for all levels of ability from beginner to advanced amateur. The only required items for this workshop is your camera. A tripod is also strongly recommended.

Instructor: Jason Savage
Based out of Montana, Jason works as a freelance and commercial photographer, specializing in outdoor & travel photography. He has previously taught workshops for Great American Photography, Montana Magazine and Popular Photography in addition to private workshops and classes. His work has been featured in Time, American Cowboy, New York Times, Montana Magazine and many others. He has worked with many prominent clients throughout the country and his prints have been sold around the world. In addition to his commercial and freelance photography, Jason also teaches classes and workshops throughout the west.
