Quilters will compress their stashes by using left over fabrics to create fun and easy rugs.  Simple crochet stitches turn unwanted fabric into wonderful, functional rugs that make great gifts. Students will learn how to make rectangular (in 2 styles), oval and round rugs in planned and scrap color schemes.  Students will go home with a sample of each rug shape.  This experience in dealing with the variety of shapes and color schemes will enable the students to choose the styles best suited for them and create the rugs with ease at home.  The crochet hook is included with the pattern and no crochet experience necessary.

Her patterns have been featured in national and international quilt magazines such as Love of Quilting, Easy Quilts, American Quilter, Quilter’s World and Popular Patchwork and are distributed to retail quilt stores nationwide.

Ann also designs patterns for new fabric collections at the request of major fabric manufacturers. In addition, she presents Schoolhouse sessions at the Spring and Fall International Quilt Markets where she demonstrates techniques to quilt shop owners/staff.

She teaches quilt design and techniques through quilt guilds and quilt shops nationally.  Ann is lauded for her excellent teaching abilities as her high energy, sense of humor and emphasis on individual’s needs keep her classes in high demand.
